Career Day

The Foundation’s annual Career Day is part of our ongoing effort to provide education programs and opportunities to real estate students and young professionals. This event is an educational outreach forum designed for young people who are looking to build a career in real estate.

Each year, Career Day attracts students from all over the country, providing them with an opportunity to learn from top executives and to gain insight and experience into this ever changing field. This unparalleled opportunity is provided to students for minimal costs.

Career Day 2011 is scheduled for October 13-14 at the Standard Club of Chicago.

2011 Career Day Schedule (Subject to Change):

Day One – October 13, 2011

2:30 PM – Registration @ The Standard Club

3:30 PM – Fireside Chat with Richard Stein, Senior Managing Director of Mesirow Financial, followed by Site Tour of 353 North Clark Street, a project developed by Mesirow

6:30 PM – Young Guns Panel and Networking Dinner @ Edwardo’s Natural Pizza

Day Two – October 14, 2011

7:45 AM – Breakfast

9:00 AM – Site Visit of 111 West Wacker Drive, originally planned to be the site of the Shangri-La Hotel, followed by discussion with Donald Biernacki, Senior Vice President of Related Midwest, who recently acquired the distressed property

11:30 AM – Intimate Roundtable Lunch with over 20 of Chicago’s leading real estate executives @ The Standard Club
